Torn photographs can be "rebuilt" provided that all the important details are available in the surviving pieces. In this example the missing piece was easily replaced as it contained only a plain background. | ![]() |

When creases or tears pass through important features, like the faces in the example shown here, repairs can require hours of painstaking work. Click on the right-hand picture to judge the result for yourself. | ![]() |

Copies of photographs can be made digitally either from the positive
image on the original photograph or slide, or from the negative, which
may be a glass plate as shown here. This one had been stored carefully
for many years in its own paper envelope within a stout Kodak box of the
sort in which the plate may well have been bought when new. The negative image was in good condition for its age and produced a surprising amount of detail in the final digital print. All types of vintage and antique photographs can be restored by digital methods without risk of further damage to the original. |

You will need to own the copyright in the photo or
document that you want restored or copied - or written permission from
the owner of the copyright.
All finished work is printed on photo quality inkjet paper and the actual original photos remain unaltered. |
